Major Russian Attacks Disrupt Power In Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in the region
The country's energy systems have faced escalating strikes in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were wounded while local people in the city's east were left without electricity and encountered interruptions to water supplies, as stated by municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a young boy was lost their life in a distinct assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, according to regional authorities.

Russian forces has increased assaults on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while the country's government has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to exert influence on Moscow.

"The necessity is not window dressing but decisive action - from the America, the EU and the major economies - in delivering air defence systems and implementing restrictions," was stated in a public message.

Officials stated that 450 drones and over thirty missiles attacked the country's power systems, labeling such attacks as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were laboring to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles hit power facilities and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, per statements from local officials.

Local officials said the metropolitan region came under significant strikes during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child died and three other people were wounded.

The strikes follow evenings of air raids in the territory, parts of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

The entire country is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to spot.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was purposely seeking to destroy the national power system, with assaults already affecting gas facilities.

Officials stated energy workers and government agencies were anticipating additional strikes.
